9-10th November 2009 the head of the Department of LIMIS and Information Technology dr. Donatas Saulevičius took part in the expert seminar on digitisation that was held in the Norwegian Archive, Library and Museum Authority. The aim of the seminar was to introduce its participants with digitisation processes in the countries of the Baltic Sea region and their government policies concerning digitisation. The seminar was part of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme. Dr. Donatas Saulevičius delivered a presentation about the prospective Lithuanian Integral Museum Information System (LIMIS) and Lithuanian Art Museum’s role in the process of Lithuanian cultural heritage digitisation.
